Spring 2020 Youth Homelessness Services RFP Released

The Tehama County Continuum of Care is pleased to announce the availability of $68,000 to address homelessness among children and youth in Tehama County. Qualified service providers are invited to submit proposals through the Spring 2020 Youth Homelessness Services Request for Proposals published on May 1, 2020. The deadline to submit a proposal is June 8, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.

These funds originate with the Homeless Emergency Aid Program (HEAP), as administered by the State of California Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency (BCSH) and the California Emergency Solutions and Housing (CESH) Program as administered by the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) as awarded to the Tehama County Continuum of Care (TCCoC) and the Education for Homeless Children and Youth Program as administered by the California Department of Education and awarded to the Tehama County Department of Education (TCDOE).

2020 Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Program

Funding is currently available through the Housing and Community Development (HCD)'s Federal Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program Allocation for Balance of State CoCs. The ESG program provides grant funding to (1) engage homeless individuals and families living on the street, (2) rapidly re-house homeless individuals and families, (3) help operate and provide essential services in emergency shelters for homeless individuals and families, and (4) prevent individuals and families from becoming homeless.

Tehama County Continuum of Care (TCCoC) is authorized to recommend up to two applications into each of two separate components to HCD for funding consideration. Providers of eligible services within Tehama County are invited to submit Project Overviews to TCCoC to be considered for recommendation. To submit a Project Overview please see TCCoC's 2020 ESG Program Funding Opportunity page.

Project Overviews must be submitted by Monday, April 20, 2020 at 11:59 PM PST to be eligible for consideration.
