The US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) issued its Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 Continuum of Care Program Competition on August 16, 2021. The funds available under this program are intended to pay for development, rehabilitation or leasing of housing and for supportive services for programs serving the homeless.

Projects that serve individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Tehama County are invited to submit Project Applications to be considered for inclusion under the Priority Listing component of Tehama CoC’s FY 2021 CoC Application. Submission Deadline: October 15, 2021 at 5:00 PM PST

Funding is currently available through the Housing and Community Development (HCD)'s 2021 Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program Allocation for Balance of State CoCs. The ESG program provides grant funding to (1) engage homeless individuals and families living on the street, (2) rapidly re-house homeless individuals and families, (3) help operate and provide essential services in emergency shelters for homeless individuals and families, and (4) prevent individuals and families from becoming homeless.

Tehama County Continuum of Care (Tehama CoC) is authorized to recommend up to two applications into each of two separate components to HCD for funding consideration. Providers of eligible services within Tehama County are invited to submit Project Overviews to Tehama CoC to be considered for recommendation. Project Overviews must be submitted by Monday, September 27, 2021 at 11:59 PM PST to be eligible for consideration.
