2023 Point-in-Time Count
Every other year in January, communities across the country conduct comprehensive counts and voluntary surveys of people experiencing homelessness in their areas. The information gathered during these counts informs plans for addressing homelessness on local, state and national levels, and the outreach contacts made during the count allow people experiencing homelessness to get information about services available to them locally. The next Tehama County Continuum of Care Point-in-Time (PIT) Count will be conducted on January 31, 2023.
Survey Team Resources
Volunteers Needed
Volunteer Surveyors are instrumental to our ability to conduct a successful and accurate PIT Count. Surveyors go out in teams of 3-5 people on the morning of the PIT Count to conduct surveys with unsheltered community members. Volunteers can register individually and be assigned to a team or put together a team themselves. To register yourself or your team, click the button below and complete the short registration form.
A surveyor training will be provided via Zoom during the fourth week of January. Surveyors will receive an email invitation to attend the training. A link to the recording will be sent out to all registered surveyors in case anyone is unable to attend and would like to view it when convenient.
